Getting Started
Annie and Kate arrived ready to learn about iPhone, iPad and Macintosh. The notes from our get-together spread across three pages: Getting Started, Macintosh Notes and iPad iPhone Notes. General information will be written on this page and specific notes for other devices will be on those pages.
Q - Katie: Should I keep up with Apple Updates? A: Yes. For both Macintosh system updates and iOS (iPad & iPhone) updates. Updating individual apps is up to you and can be set to automatically update. Updates often add security features to the operating system and individual apps. Sometimes an app update might be a big change in how it looks and extra bells and whistles. If an app and your computer/device is critical to finishing a project, you might wait until the project is finished and backed up before a major update.
Our first meeting on November 7, 2015 will be a "get to know each other." Or for participants to get to know Melissa. It will be an opportunity to ask questions, set goals for our get-togethers and begin solving problems. (Oops, don't over promise - how about "We can begin to address problems.")
